Scouting America

Is this your company?

Hard work, but can be doable if you don't mind dealing with volunteers with a sense of entitlement. - District Executive Scouting America Employee Review

Pros

Good benefits. Time off in the summer and at Christmas. There is a feeling of accomplishment when a boy gets to go to camp or earns a rank.

Cons

Extremely stressful. No life-work balance. People automatically think that you are anti-gay/trans or have some political opinion. Lots of mandatory night meetings.

Pros

Good health benefits via UnitedHealth.

Cons

Micromanage, cannot hold a conversation in office in this department without getting in trouble for talking with colleagues. However they expect you to come in 3 days a week at minimum to encourage team collaboration and team building. Meanwhile people who are paid at least 6 figures walk around the office holding conversations about nothing work related or complaining about local council employees and members-as if they do not realize without these very same people they would not have the big houses and fancy cars they own.
