Pros

The volunteers are awesome people. That's the sad part about it. They are actually the backbone of this organization. The kids are amazing. Great networking with community and business leaders.

Cons

Very little help from management. You'll work extremely long hours especially during fall recruitment. They will lure you in by telling you that you make your own schedule and that it's very flexible but don't get it twisted, nothing is what seems at first. Business wise, the ship is sinking. The business model is broken and management is so busy trying to save their own cushy jobs, that they won't listen to any innovation. They will force you to milk your donors and you will end up looking like the leech in the end. If you are married or have a life in general, don't take this job. I repeat, don't do it! I read the reviews after handing in my two week notice to my last job and trust me, I was sick for a week. They basically will have you working a 6 figure job for 35-38k a year. They are passive aggressive and very condescending. If you don't take heed to this advice, like me, you'll end up leaving a similar review.

Pros

Good health benefits via UnitedHealth.

Cons

Micromanage, cannot hold a conversation in office in this department without getting in trouble for talking with colleagues. However they expect you to come in 3 days a week at minimum to encourage team collaboration and team building. Meanwhile people who are paid at least 6 figures walk around the office holding conversations about nothing work related or complaining about local council employees and members-as if they do not realize without these very same people they would not have the big houses and fancy cars they own.
