Pros

You get to meet and work with a lot of really great people (the volunteers.)

Cons

LOOOOOONG hours, I once told my boss that I felt guilty for "only working 14 hours" -- if you work out the hours worked against the pay you'd literally make more money at McDonalds (at least there you would make overtime) -- So there's no work/life balance more like a work/work balance. Slowly being ruined by Marxists from the inside out (starting with National.)

Pros

Great people and good pay with flexible WFH policies

Cons

Sometimes impresses the importance of in person collaboration. Depending on department limited upward growth.

Pros

Good health benefits via UnitedHealth.

Cons

Micromanage, cannot hold a conversation in office in this department without getting in trouble for talking with colleagues. However they expect you to come in 3 days a week at minimum to encourage team collaboration and team building. Meanwhile people who are paid at least 6 figures walk around the office holding conversations about nothing work related or complaining about local council employees and members-as if they do not realize without these very same people they would not have the big houses and fancy cars they own.
