Pros

You get benefits and you can work with people who prefer to improve the building they are too cheap to move out of rather than pay a decent wage or fix the systems that never work for the members and councils who need them

Cons

This was one of the worst companies I have ever worked for. I joined thinking I would be making a difference only to see that the CEO is racist and ignorant and stuck in the past. If you want to work for an organization filled with people who always promote their favorites who have no idea how to do their job -this includes HR then join Scouts of America or BSA whatever they want to call themselves. How can you be heard when the entire company is corrupt. If you report something I can guarantee you it will not go in your favor because management and HR have all worked together for 20-30 plus years together and they stick together no matter what.

Pros

Good health benefits via UnitedHealth.

Cons

Micromanage, cannot hold a conversation in office in this department without getting in trouble for talking with colleagues. However they expect you to come in 3 days a week at minimum to encourage team collaboration and team building. Meanwhile people who are paid at least 6 figures walk around the office holding conversations about nothing work related or complaining about local council employees and members-as if they do not realize without these very same people they would not have the big houses and fancy cars they own.
