You can probably find a better job with better pay. - ER SCRIBE ScribeAmerica Employee Review

Pros

Once in a while you see cool patient cases besides the typical abd. pain, chest pain, etc. You are more exposed to medications and how to treat incoming patients. You may learn medical terminology if it is your first health care field job.

Cons

Can be stressful, hard to keep up with doctors you may never have worked with because each one has different way of charting. The training program is a waste of time, new people should learn how to use their charting program and be able to chart with more doctors for training to be exposed and familiar to their style. Most managers are young and are terrible at managing a big group and are very inconsistent, seems to get away with a lot and can be unfair. Our competing ER pays their scribes $15/hr compared to this company, which is minimum then only $10. Every scribe I asked actually just put up with the job for experience and complains about the pay. Very few enjoy the job due to their high interest of the ED. It just depends what site you work at, their expectations and your expectations.
