Pros
Great experience for future health professionals (MD, PA, etc). You become very skillful at understanding your particular specialty if given a good doctor to scribe with.
Cons
Online training is not helpful if you're going into a specialty. It won't be helpful because each site has their method of scribework. Hiring process is way more difficult than it should be. There is only 1 Regional Recruiting Manager for LA - forcing many potential employees to drive 1+ hours just to meet wherever the recruiting manager is for 5 minutes. Los Angeles is huge so I don't understand why there's only 1 manager.
