Pros

- Great experience in a variety of clinical settings with exposure to ample networking opportunities -Opportunity to learn a lot about medicine and healthcare in general that you would otherwise not be able to find out until after entering medical school or residency

Cons

- Minimum wage for a very tough job - Terrible scheduling/hours and difficulty guaranteeing a certain number of hours - Minimal to no opportunities for overtime - Company will always, always, always put their interests first, they will see you as as disposable, and they will likely treat you pretty poorly - Things take forever to get done because management is very understaffed

Pros

Looks good on a resume.

Cons

Low pay and poor training. I did like three days of shadowing only, was only exposed to Cerner twice with very little time to explore. My trainer said my HPI’s were good… but then I got an email from the Chief Scribe saying I am missing too much, so I was pretty confused there. I’m with a different doctor every time, right out of the gate. Also, I only applied for one location, and was then assigned to four.
