Pros

The place I worked at was a very positive experience overall. Our manager was very flexible and communicative when dealing with issues we might have. Our chief scribe was very accommodating to our schedule although granted when in need, it becomes rather difficult. The physicians I worked with are all amazing. They're experienced in "dealing" with scribes so as a new scribe, they were very willing to guide us and were not as demanding. They are also very friendly (although very busy).

Cons

Given the unpredictability of the ER department, sometimes you get a highly busy day which will drain your life. This may impact the physicians as well and they might appear distanced unconsciously. Training is highly dependent on who you get to teach you, which might impact your understanding. Each physicians have their own nuances to chart, which might take longer than usual to adjust to. Sometimes, schedules just clash too hard and occasionally, scribes might end up working double shifts or only have a few hours before another shift (though the chief scribe tries their best to prevent this).
