Pros

There are long shifts that span from 8 hours to 10 hours usually that are offered, which results in fewer days worked. It also allows for more experience.

Cons

The long shifts can be restrictive, exhausting, and difficult. The education for a scribe can be expanded to offer better services for the provider. Raises above minimum wage is basically non-existent. The practice of not raising the wage is malicious as they know employees want to pursue higher education in medical sciences, i.e., physician and physician assistant. Micromanaging can also be annoying as well. More work is expected without giving more capital to employees. I was told by a manager that completing one chart for a physician covers my entire shift, and I usually did on average more than 15 charts, with a maximum count of 26 charts completed on a 10-hour shift.
