Pros
The people at work at Scripps generally care about the patients and work hard. I have heard that if you work at the sites and not at corporate, it is more inspiring.
Cons
Interesting that when there are negative comments in a row there are immediately generic, positive comments added above them and those are the ones Scripps responds to. This is definitely a pattern I have seen in the reviews... pretty "convenient" if you ask me. They are going through layoffs and people are writing what an amazing company it is... Do not work at Scripps if you want to push the envelope and be innovative within the scope of healthcare. You will get shot down. The leadership tends to be threatened by younger talent and is unwilling to alter the existing processes unless you possess a title worthy of influence. Favorites are apparent and they are not necessarily the most talented people. In fact, usually they are the people that fit into the Scripps mold of not rocking the boat. Or they are from USC. The more you work there the more you see what is behind the curtain of great marketing. There is a bit of the 1% vs. 99% issue going on. Management still gets massive bonuses despite layoffs, and the fact that the lower employees get nothing. Seems unbalanced. The rich get richer....
