Pros

lots of employee benefits (cafeteria, work-out room, discounts, etc...) - lots of great people

Cons

Poor Senior management, cronyism, no creative thinking, now risk taking, poor judgement and planning, no apparent ROI analysis or consideration of changes that could make or save money - always business as usual even as industry shrinks... A lot of show on state-of-the-art manufacturing and 6-sigma, etc... but all just show because senior management doesn't really get it - they are just riding it out to retirement and not letting those who are excited and energized succeed or grow... real pity - it could be a great company.

High performers have been laid off based on market/biz unit goals. Outsourcing/derisking is a thing lately.

Pros

Fast paced workplace. Lots of data to master SQL and data analysis

Cons

Toxic AF. Everybody seems to lower to 60% effort because the risk of getting tired is immense. If you give 100% and have to take a break and someone sees, the big boss will yell with a grumpy neurotic southern old man voice. Trust me, it is very unpleasant. If you are male, don't get hopes up for a promotion if there are any eligible girls. If it isn't done on purpose, then the general culture of cattiness and gossip will accomplish it anyway.
