      Pros

      Great culture and people at Seagate, good benefits: 401K w/match, health care, dental, eye, life, HSA savings account, top notch facilities with fitness center & full service cafeteria.

      Cons

      For as long as I was at Seagate my entire department worried when our jobs would be eliminated and our building would be closed.

      Great technology for the era of AI. Stock is doing well.

      High performers have been laid off based on market/biz unit goals. Outsourcing/derisking is a thing lately.

      Pros

      Fast paced workplace. Lots of data to master SQL and data analysis

      Cons

      Toxic AF. Everybody seems to lower to 60% effort because the risk of getting tired is immense. If you give 100% and have to take a break and someone sees, the big boss will yell with a grumpy neurotic southern old man voice. Trust me, it is very unpleasant. If you are male, don't get hopes up for a promotion if there are any eligible girls. If it isn't done on purpose, then the general culture of cattiness and gossip will accomplish it anyway.
