Pros

I had the chance to work with cutting edge storage technology and introduce new ways of bringing our products to market. Some of the management there was great.

Cons

Made some TERRIBLE management decisions that cost a lot of people their jobs. This was pre-Mosley, but they were always prone to hiring senior people who were arrogant know-it-alls and impossible to work with.

High performers have been laid off based on market/biz unit goals. Outsourcing/derisking is a thing lately.

Fast paced workplace. Lots of data to master SQL and data analysis

Cons

Toxic AF. Everybody seems to lower to 60% effort because the risk of getting tired is immense. If you give 100% and have to take a break and someone sees, the big boss will yell with a grumpy neurotic southern old man voice. Trust me, it is very unpleasant. If you are male, don't get hopes up for a promotion if there are any eligible girls. If it isn't done on purpose, then the general culture of cattiness and gossip will accomplish it anyway.
