Pros

I recently joined the company, joining a large, globally distributed engineering team. I've genuinely enjoyed that we're remote-first and live by agile practices, not just talk about them. The projects here aren't about simply maintaining legacy code... they're focused on building and improving modern systems using React and Next.js on the frontend, Java and Kotlin on the backend, and an event-driven architecture behind the scenes. We've also embraced automation and AI-driven tools, such as Copilot, Cursor, and agentic development workflows. On top of that, we have internal guilds dedicated to learning and exploring new technologies, which encourages engineers to keep pushing forward. One of the best things about being here is the chance to influence the company's direction genuinely. There's clear support from leadership to modernize and evolve our tech stack, and there's real investment going into AI tools that automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency. If you have an idea to improve things, you have the freedom and support to run with it. Of course, like any growing tech organization, we're still dealing with technical debt and coordinating teams across global time zones, so the job isn't always easy. But for anyone motivated by the challenge of improving systems and making an impact, it's a great place to be.

Cons

Since the team is fully remote and global, coordinating across multiple time zones can sometimes slow things down. Additionally, we have ambitious goals around modernization, which means balancing new development with managing existing technical debt can occasionally feel overwhelming.
