Pros
Nice team of therapists, Everyone tries to be as helpful as they can to answer my questions since I never was officially trained
Cons
Very unorganized company. I will get multiple texts to ask if I can work a certain day that I already consented to weeks prior Tons of staff turnover. Being PRN, I have told them my max availability is for 4 hours, but I’m given 6 hours of patient care. This is not a good thing to do if you want your prns to come back I had no formal training when i first started and I still have no idea if I’m doing it right. As a therapist who has been fortunate to work at many ethical hospitals, I feel like I cannot be ethical at Select, which is what is so problematic to me. A lot of patients I’ve been asked to see have poor rehab potential, are not making goals (but still on caseload) or I feel like I have to force patients to work with me. The pay is low compared to other prn places I work at with no differential for weekends. Also, concurrents with two total assist patients who are only doing PROM is not doable.
