Pros

it's a job that will be needed with the aging population. No real fear of mass layoffs like other industries. overall very stable position.

Cons

Select will do everything they can to avoid giving you any kind of raise. I know that isn't too out of the ordinary in the SNF world but it feels especially true there. They also currently are very resistant to hiring new PRN's and will transfer you with a 2 week notice without giving you a choice.

Pros

Training is good for regular employees. Pay is great. Typical productivity standards for SNF, Assistants are expected to be at 90%. No company match for 401k, but PRN employees are allowed to put in so that is nice.

Cons

Manager training is lacking, especially if it's your first time as a DOR in SNF.
