My advice is still stay away if you can.
If you are unemployed and need something, then take the paycheck. But this is not a place to advance your career.
The work you will do will be mindless and basic. They oversell what they do and how they do it (i will give them this: they have a great marketing team). If you decide to give this place a chance, you will find out soon enough.
The leadership team is highly dishonest and resorts to chicanery quite a bit.
They laid off people claiming they were negatively impacted by covid (their product doesn't solve a meaningful issue for most users, that's the real issue). But they have been hiring as many people as they laid off and still going. So, obviously covid didn't affect their ability to pay salaries. They just didn't care for some people and decided not to spend anytime on coaching and/or performance training.
On top of that, they are outsourcing some work to an agency, but they are been coy about it, keeping most of their engineers in the dark. Most people don't know or if they know, leadership is under-representing what work they are doing.
In conclusion: they have no integrity and the work will bore you. If you have another offer, take that one. If not, take it but keep looking.
