Pros
-If you are a hard worker who performs well, there are many opportunities available at Sensient - especially if you can travel or relocate. Sensient likes to promote from within, which I have personally experienced and have witnessed for many other people, so I feel like they really believe in their employees. -I have had some great managers at Sensient. The company expect managers to have consistent one-on-one meetings with employees, and I think that works really well. -Things are also fairly fast-paced, so there is little downtime and your days go by quickly. -The company is very principled and does not tolerate lying, stealing, etc. Seems basic, but they actually take action if people don’t follow the core rules.
Cons
-The dress code doesn’t bother me personally, but I don’t think it makes a lot of sense to require suit and tie at all levels. Professional dress is expensive, and not a lot of the positions are dealing with customers. -Because things are fast-paced, training and development isn’t always a priority, although some groups seem to be better at it. -We tend to be reactive, not proactive.
