Pros

getting to play with makeup all day, staying up to date on product launches. coworkers are all so amazing.

Cons

management is a nightmare. so cliquey & the favoritism is like ive never seen. gratis is not distributed fairly, IF its distributed. i’ll at times have ONE PRODUCT on my gratis bin for weeks, i honestly suspect managers of gratis theft. i dont know how they hire managers that have little to no experience in make-up & literally refuse to help clients, they’ll shoo them off to an over worked & very busy employee in color almost ALWAYS. micro-managing is out of this WORLD. having to ask permission to get a sip of water, or use the restroom & if youre using the restroom or anything more than 3 minutes theyre passive aggressively making comments on the walkie talkies about your where-abouts. ive literally been told “no” to getting a sip of water. UNREAL! they dont like to let employees speak to their peers, its like youre expected to be a robot. if youre looking for a job because you have a passion for makeup, RUN AWAY FROM HERE. this is all sales & operations. no makeup education or artistry here AT ALL! RUNN!!!!! very sad because i was so excited to work here, but the salem, nh rockingham location will kill your spirit. run awayyyy.

Pros

I've worked at two different locations in different cities. Both locations have WONDERFUL management, they are always super understanding. They lead with integrity and passion for beauty. Gratis is always a plus! But being apart of a team that has your back and truly wants to see you thrive makes all the difference!

Cons

I really don't have any cons for Sephora. They have poured into me the same way I've poured into the clients that come into the store. My only wish would be that Flex employees also receive gratis because they too need training products in order to recommend brands to clients.
