Pros

- Flexible work schedule (min 3 working days as to be one opening, one closing, full availability one day of the weekend) Discount - It has recently increased. Team - The people you work with are knowledgeable in the beauty industry. Training - WECARE - sales training is very well executed - If you want to move to a different world they will support you - If you want to be skin fit / full face certified, they will provide you with the proper training.

Cons

- Gratis If you do not have a color consultant position then you will not receive the same amount as they do. I was an Operations Consultant and was certified to do full- face applications but they did not give me the same amount of gratis. Operations, Cash, and Fragrance get the short end of the stick. Management - Favoritism. You will see that some people will be allowed to go for vacation during blackout period. Fingernail Length - It can only 1/4 of an inch. After one complaint they are required most girls to take off their nails and shorten them down. Several of girls got written up for this. Different locations in Calgary do not require girls to do this but South Calgary does. Poor Change Management - Lots of changes happen with little to no notice. - When I suggested how it could be possibly delivered in a way that most or all employees would be aware and receive the least amount of change management resistance, it was simply brushed off. Gratis Abuse - Top management would take gratis from color consultants and tell them it was because they were not performing at a high standard.

Pros

I've worked at two different locations in different cities. Both locations have WONDERFUL management, they are always super understanding. They lead with integrity and passion for beauty. Gratis is always a plus! But being apart of a team that has your back and truly wants to see you thrive makes all the difference!

Cons

I really don't have any cons for Sephora. They have poured into me the same way I've poured into the clients that come into the store. My only wish would be that Flex employees also receive gratis because they too need training products in order to recommend brands to clients.

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!

Cons

Hours vary based on the time of the year.
