Pros

For anyone who doesn't have a work ethic, this is a perfect place to work, because whether you do 1 task or 50 tasks a day, you're all treated and paid the same.

Cons

Work instructions change daily, sometimes hourly, - their training is a trainer reading verbatim off a PowerPoint presentation, no raises since inception (end of 2013), mandatory overtime, mgmt can't help with questions because they don't know what their people do, there is no recognition for good work, there is no consequence for bad performance, you get questioned by mgmt if you leave your 2'x3' cubicle as to why you aren't working. No cell phones, pens or paper allowed on work floor. You are allowed an iPod only if you provide mgmt with the serial #, and show it to them for approval EVERY morning. 2 weeks PTO after 1 year, you purchase sick time, and if you need to take extra time off without pay you're terminated after 40 hours. However, during the down times (when you don't have a single task ALL day) you are forced to sit at your desk and do NOTHING because Serco gets paid on body count. During late summer and fall there are hundreds and hundreds of employees sitting around, doing nothing, lining the company's pockets on the tax payers money! Tasks are shuffled from queue to queue for "numbers" purposes in reporting to CMS, numerous calls and mailings go out to consumers who aren't even enrolled for healthcare. Consumers who ARE enrolled get expired for not getting paperwork in on time, although their documents have been received but have not yet been linked to their file. If only they were audited!

Pros

You get to directly impact clients' success. "Decent" pay for the location.

Cons

Leadership will shift blame onto teams instead of taking accountability for their own shortcomings, and Program Managers won't take the time to seek clarification, leading to misinformed decisions and unfair outcomes. They are more focused on internal politics and protecting their seat than recognizing or rewarding actual contributions. You can work hard for years with consistently strong performance and still be passed over for promotion in favor of someone who has built the right relationships with management, even if the have not proven themselves yet. Support is subpar. Employees often spend more time troubleshooting issues themselves than receiving timely or effective assistance.
