Pros
On this contract, I traveled 2 - 3 times a month on the weekends. I got to work with some excellent people, skilled clinicians, and very dedicated leaders in the military. We provided much needed resources to a lot military service members.
Cons
Several times, we worked long hours on the weekend. We could easily put in 20 - 24 hours in on 2 days and were only given 2 days off. Upper management expects an immediate response to emails, but often delays their response to your emails. We duplicate or triplicate our reporting, which often interferes with our team's ability to actually complete the calls to service members. High turn over in many offices and inability to retain quality staff Many staff leave when they realize they will not be promoted
