Pros

Understanding, accommodating staff/teams; great work/life balance; decent training opportunities for managers

Cons

Horribly disorganized, inefficient senior management: leadership (rightfully) prioritizes client treatment but loses sight of management and organizational priorities, resulting in suboptimal services, working conditions, and client outcomes. Business acumen is lacking; "efficiency" is a dirty word. Attempts to be "understanding" prevents tough decisions from being made, leaving in place under performing staff, teams, and organizational structures. Hiring process is disorganized, initial training lacking. Overly decentralized but HQ bureaucracy prevents much implementation of "bottom-up" solutions.
