Pros

The employees are great. They are so welcoming and willing to help. They're human beings; they don't judge. I made a great group of friends.

Cons

The problems start from the top and trickle down. If you have to ask the staff to pump up your company reviews, you are the problem. If you have to create a false narrative and place blame on someone else, because you don't want people to know you're at fault? You are the problem. If you're a leader and the only way you can get people interested in your company is by lying or inflating the numbers, is that okay? You are the problem. I hate to break it to the wizard, but we pulled back the curtain, and you've been outed as a weak little man. No one respects you. You took away our backbones. You took away our souls. Instead, you have a bunch of yes men, who are just as useless as you are, and employees who are there, being run into the ground - but they won't speak up - because they're afraid they're going to be next. And let's be real? They are. It's not sustainable now. The jig is up. At least the laidoff employees won't have to be forced to hang out with the boss after-hours.

Pros

Interesting technology, not much to worry about in terms of caustic culture or office politics from the perspective of an IC

Cons

Lack of any kind of company culture, identity, or sense of camaraderie. People are there to get in and get out. The company seems to be run by people from large organizations who want to run a startup the same way as the company they came from, so there is too much process and overhead, while departments are simultaneously siloed enough that no one knows what is going on. Result is a company that burns lots of money and struggles to move forward.
