Dont Expect Much - Brokerage/Staff Accountant Shamrock Trading Corporation Employee Review

Pros

They pay full benefits but once they continue to hire as projected, this will inevitably go away.

Cons

Accounting management offers no proper training, they are ignorant and set in their ways. The good ones leave after 2 years. They lead you along for promotions but then they never come. If you are not "best friends" or like to gossip to management about other employees, then there will be no advancement for you. They look for conformity, not new ideas. There are only 2 weeks of vacation. Micromanaging is one of their strong suits so expect lots of criticism, and not the constructive kind. The work is easy and monotonous, and you could go work for any other transportation company and make more money and more vacation doing the same thing. Management will never jump in and help when behind, and if they do, you will just end up cleaning up after them when they are done.

Pros

Shamrock RTS provides an inclusive, multicultural workplace where everyone is welcomed, respected, and valued. The company offers a competitive salary plus commission, creating excellent earning potential for employees who are motivated to perform. There are strong opportunities for career growth, with ongoing training, coaching, and continuous learning that support both personal and professional development. What stands out most is the supportive culture: from colleagues to management and the directors, everyone is approachable, encouraging, and invested in helping each other succeed. The fast-paced environment keeps the work engaging and allows employees to build new skills while being recognized for their hard work and dedication.

Cons

The fast-paced environment can be demanding during busy periods, but it also provides opportunities to learn, grow, and develop valuable skills.
