Pros
-----------Apologies for the huge paragraph. Glassdoor has a formatting issue and as a result all my paragraphs are merged into one. It makes this hard to read but hopefully you can see value in dealing with the formatting issues. where the original review is located I have added -----ORIGINAL REVIEW----- to help. Where there were original paragraphs I have added--------- First and foremost: I was NOT asked to write this. No one came around and whispered: "Hey, can you do us a favor?" I chose to write this just like I CHOSE to right the first one. So, hopefully you find this review refreshing for it's honesty. As you consider working here, it's important that you understand this place. To me it's important that you understand this so that it doesn't impact YOU or YOUR family.--------------- As you read the reviews here you see dissatisfied people saying we rebranded due to glassdoor. That isn't the truth. When you're the industry leader in your categories, saying you work for Euro -Pro makes people ask: "What do they do?" When you say you work for "SharkNinja" then it's a different story. People know Shark and Ninja. They don't know Euro-Pro.---------------- As you read the reviews here and at the older name know this: We are a unique company that requires a unique individual. It took us a while to understand this and we now do. As a result, the number of people who do work here are a better fit for the culture and as a result it nets a greater quantity of like minded individuals that enjoy what they do and how they do it. In summary, the below applies from my original review:----------------- ----ORIGINAL REVIEW---- "Sure there are a lot of negative reviews. Yes, the work environment can be highly stressful. Yes, there can be long hours. Is it the right fit for everyone? No. Not at all. This company requires a unique type of individual. SharkNinja (formerly Euro-Pro) requires people who like challenges. People who like to work in an extremely fast paced environment who have no issues with a change in expectations on a moments notice. People who might Grumble about what is perceived as impossible to do and then find a way to do it. If I described you above, then you’ll like this place. The pay is good, the benefits are pretty good, exciting (though let’s be honest, sometimes annoying) challenges. Clear company vision. Would I recommend working at SharkNinja (formerly Euro-Pro) to people I know? Only those who fit the profile above. "-------------------ORIGINAL REVIEW-----I do want to add another element to the original review and that is in regards to career advancement. It happens and efforts are made to make it happen. Just because you're brought in to work in one function doesn't mean you can't move to another function. On top of that you can advance your career here. Co-workers and I have all seen advancement in our time here. If you are brought in for one function and it's identified you might be more successful elsewhere within the company plans are put in place to move you to where you can be successful. Was it always like this? No and this is a HUGE step that SharkNinja has taken to identify clear succession plans and the right fit for the right person. Does it work out all the time? No but let's be honest, it doesn't elsewhere either however, it does happen.
Cons
As with the above, I also posted CON's in my original review and they still stand. I honestly don't have any additional con's over the originals except to say that the CON's are not as bad as they were originally. Are they still there? Of course. It's the nature of the business but steps are always being taken to minimize them.-------------------- -----ORIGINAL REVIEW----- As stated, SharkNinja (formerly Euro-Pro) isn't’ for everyone. As a result there is a high level of turnover (though since my original review it is not as severe). Work life balance can be a challenge…Only if you let it…Yes, depending on what department you are in you will be dealing with overseas meaning early morning and late night calls. Yes, some of those in management positions can be a challenge to work for (but let’s be honest it’s like that everywhere). And yes, you can run into situations where it becomes a CYA game (but again, it’s like that everywhere). -----ORIGINAL REVIEW----- -------------------- The next portion of the original review is where a huge amount of improvement has been made. There was tribal knowledge to the extreme when I first started but why? We didn’t know who we needed. As a result, people learn and then they leave. Those who are left who know the information are then stretched to fill gaps. With an understanding of who we need, it makes this strain on those left not as sever as we grow. Every year we continue to increase the quantity of individuals who “fit” and as a result it makes execution easier as more and more have done it which lessens the strain on those who understand what we do. -------------------- -----ORIGINAL REVIEW----- The biggest CON of working for Euro-Pro (though not as bad for SharkNinja) is the on-boarding though. The first 6 months can be a true challenge for people and a large part of that is due to the “tribal” knowledge that is so evident. The company has grown significantly over the last 7 (originally 5) years and as a result they are behind in some processes (though not as bad now). The key though is that they have identified this as a weakness and they are addressing it (as my comments above show, they have). Would I recommend working at SharkNinja (formerly Euro-Pro) to people I know? No to those who don’t fit the profile.-----ORIGINAL REVIEW--------
