Pros
Fair pay, stock options, nice office, good benefits, hybrid work.
Cons
Toxic work culture due to poor leadership. Teams are constantly throwing each other under the bus and looking for someone to blame when things go wrong. ZERO strategy or standard operating procedures. Management calls this a 'fast paced, start-up like environment' which actually means the strategy will change every week over week, sometimes multiples days a week, and most of the time there is no strategy. You will be reprimanded if you can't keep up with what the ELT decides to call a 'strategy' that day. Horrible, horrible leadership. The CEO will overhaul a strategy weeks before launch based off a feeling. CEO typically sends the CPO to meetings they cannot attend, who has no experience in anything over than product and engineering. SVP of PD creates chaos because they can't keep strategies straight and sends teams running in circles. ZERO work life balance. Amongst the chaos, you are expected to work well outside of 9-5. Most meetings start at 7am and 8pm. You will be ridiculed if you have a personal commitment, family, or basic work/life boundaries. No commitment to professional development and no structured on-boarding or training. PIPs run rampant, there were individuals placed on PIPs 90 days into the role. PIPs are based off your manager/boss' opinion and most management suffers from confirmation bias.
