Pros

SHARP does offer pretty decent benefits, even for part time employees. Its a clean environment and offer a good experience for patients and visitors.

Cons

Although the benefits are good, SHARP has many internal problems. Nurses have threatened several times to go on strike for higher pay. The turn over rate is horrible. Nurses come here to gain experience and then move to other healthcare facilities such as Kaiser or Scrips because the pay is better. and I honestly don't blame them. Departments don't communicate effectively, and only focus on their department when it comes to helping out.

Sharp HealthCare Response

We appreciate your feedback. We are always looking for areas of improvement and appreciate your suggestion to look at internal communication. Along with our generous benefit plan, Sharp is pleased to be able to offer competitive compensation to our nursing staff. Sharp and the nurses union recently agreed on a new three-year contract that includes 12% raises for our clinical nurses as well as increases to on-call pay, shift cancellation pay and various shift differentials. Sharp is committed to providing the Sharp Experience not only to our patients and community but also to our valued employees.

Pros

Wonderful work environment and coworkers

Cons

I don’t focus on negative, just room for improvement. And I worked here in 2006 or 2007. Glassdoor didn’t give me the option to go back that far for when my employment ended. Just an FYI.
