Pros

Pay can be excellent in sales, can be a good fit for extroverted design minded person.

Cons

Leadership is comprised of a “good old boys club” that often promotes based on whose turn it is/those that overlook leadership behaviors that do not echo company values. Lots of nepotism. Women are highly underrepresented in leadership roles and tend to be held back if they have a family. High pressure to perform. Sales roles are not well supported. Internal unhealthy competitiveness is frequent, frequent infighting amongst brands. Reporting unfair treatment to HR from leadership will lead to a hostile work environment; with leadership protecting each other. Advancement to leadership, or other roles, is often not supported and will be thwarted by mangers if the employee does not have a succession plan in place for their current role; the succession plan was part of the interview process for every advancement I was presented.

Pros

Shaw offers a lot of opportunities for growth, great work life balance, very flexible, and has great values.

Cons

Very hard to get pay bumps / raises due to not having a standard annual review. They use "pay for performance" which allows them to dictate WHEN you receive a raise. Even if you're going above and beyond you really have to document every little thing you do here to argue for a raise.
