Pros
Went to the Sales Academy and learned a ton. It's great experience where you learn not just about floors, you learn how to be a professional. However once you "graduate" and are out in the field it's a tough job. You're on your own almost all of the time and it takes years until you can really get your business going. Luckily Shaw is great employer and they know this so they're willing to be patient if you are. My suggestion overall if you're young and single in this position, make sure you're placed somewhere where you have friends and/or family. You will get lonely quick in this job if you're located somewhere all on your own.
Cons
I can't say anything bad about Shaw, it's a great company. However the position itself, if you aren't willing or capable to spend an entire career in a single territory you will not make the big bucks. At the same time it's a major pro if you are willing to stay in the same place, you can make a lot of money in the flooring business.
