Founder is clueless and detached from reality. The company has never (EVER) had a functioning business model, and in the last several months has laid off 80% of its workers. idk what CNN was thinking interviewing the CEO but they for sure didn't run any background research. The founder trying to go online and blame inevitable failure on SVB hilarious What's truly crazy is how far he'll take a fake story took it far enough to raise $50M and now as the company is facing a for sure run out of money he has the audacity to go on national news? Anyone reading this should know a few things. This CEO lies , lies about his business model, lies about his business, lies to employees, lies to the media, and must have lied big time to investors to raise money. He legit told entire co several months ago layoffs unlikely and now the co has less than 20 people after being over 100 Also, dont trust the other executives bc they MUST know the business model doesnt work yet they allow CEO to go on media tours talking about SVB. Only thing I can think of is he was looking for a convenient excuse but this guy should never raise money again. Right before a major 2nd layoff lew all employees to Seattle and hosted CEOs and former professional athletes all as the business doesnt work. Yes startups are hard and they fail but when failure is driven by dishonesty and a complete detachment from reality that is another story. I love how he said startups arent risky on CNN interview thank goodness the interviewer had the guts to correct that but shame on them for not better qualifying their interviews. Clueless clueless clueless Take it to the bank this is out of biz in 6 months and nobody should ever go near any of the leaders that willingly allowed all these lies. If u are a tech employee or investor and you get into bed w this leadership team well ya got somethign coming
