Pros
Shepherd Center has a wonderful culture for staff and clients. It is clear whenever stepping onto campus that there is a shared mission to provide the best care and experiences possible for each client and their families. Management and senior leadership are accessible and responsive to staff needs and there are excellent opportunities for career advancement. Overall compensation and health care are strong benefits, better than most comparable institutions.
Cons
Less flexibility with leave and paid days off, although this is often the nature of inpatient and post-acute care settings as clients require consistent care.
