Pros
You gain customer service, sales, operation, and financial experience. You management a small staff, so you are able to build lasting relationships throughout the years.
Cons
Our district has been consistently short staff. The upper management turnover is high so you have to continuously prove yourself. When it comes to promotions, they already have the person in mind so there is no need to apply if you didn't receive the telephone call to apply. There is no transparency. Sales and the pressure to open up new charge accounts are the number one priorities currently. Rain, sleet, hurricane, and snow...we are open. They preach safety but they want the store open. Absolutely no work life balance when the whole district is short staff.
