-Benefits are nice -Decent STARTING pay -Meet SOME cool people -Potential for Bonus -Learn communication skills -Learn first hand what's going on in the industry -Diverse employees

Cons

-Overworked, you're constantly physically running around -Underpaid for overworking. Good luck getting a raise above 3%. Nowadays, that doesn't even compete against inflation...YIKES. -ALWAYS understaffed -Can't even take 30 minutes to yourself to eat lunch(they tell you that you have to eat as you go, if customers show up in store, customer is priority). It gets annoying reheating your food 3 times and waiting an hour to eat your lunch -Constant supply shortage causing customers to get mad at you -Coworkers don't care about you and your needs. Ran out of product? Need another store to send you their EXCESS supply? Nope, good luck. They will give you the stiff shoulder as they only care about their own selfish needs. As they need to meet their quotas too. You're then forced to send your customer to their store, so that store reaps the reward, not you -You have to drive your car if a delivery needs to go out and delivery service wont fulfill your delivery request -Upper management has favorites -'Fake' upper management. They act like they care about you. They don't. You're just a number, fulfilling their needs -The unbelievable amount of drama and talking behind people's back's is incredible -The company focuses on hiring young individuals due to their naivety. They like hiring young people right out of college because young adults think it's a great starting environment. Through time, they'll realize the job is miserable -Career advancement is horrible. You need to go up a ladder to get to a position you want. Went to school for sales and want to get a sales rep position? Nope, you must start as an Assistant Manager, then become a Store Manager, THEN you can be a sales rep. This can take 2+ years -Customers can be rude and abrasive, especially racist and sexist -Sometimes you're alone in the store. GOD FORBID, you get into an accident. No one will be there to help you -Outdated Tech. They use a POS system from the 90s...lawl

easy job with little work load and decent customer base

Cons

they cut my 401k for 6 months with no mention of when it was coming back, terrible CEO that everyone hated who cut jobs to save money for a new headquarter that we absolutely did NOT need, bought a random argentinian paint company to monopolize an already dying business and put the cost back onto the consumer by charging way more for paint. They also give discounts to national brands and apartment complexes that are literally less than what the store charges for paint and forces us to sell to them, losing money in the process ( for the individual stores but making them money since they own the whole manufacturing and distribution process and up-charge stores for products they require us to sell ). Overall climbing up the ladder is easy but upper management suck and will make any good hearted, hardworking manager quit in the long run.
