Business Outlook
Pros
The pay is consistent and reliable, as is the business. The company offers an above average benefits package. Also, for most intents and purposes, Sherwin-Williams is extremely stable.
Cons
There is not a good work life balance; one is expected to work lots of overtime. There is an environment of micromanagement that has gotten a lot more pervasive during this recession. The competition is much better poised to get the business of the professional painter and other wholesale accounts. Sherwin-Williams is way over priced, and upper management has unrealistic expectations of how much middle management can move the sales needle at the price points that they set. Also, the store's are never adequately staffed.
