Pros
Pays pretty well, very high talent density, great logo for the résumé, definitely way ahead of the industry curve on some important stuff, net net a product that is better for the world than the only bigger competitor
Cons
The CEO is an intense, volatile person who almost feels like a cult leader at times and several members of the C suite are flat out bad. This permeates the rest of the company, to varying degrees but as time goes by leadership is very clearly working to promote a culture of fear. No company is perfect and normally I would say, the most important thing is your manager and immediate team. But Shopify will reorg you at least once or twice a year so be prepared for that, and for having very little agency in general.
