Pros

Great building security Gym Cafeteria (with great food) Cubes with windows / natural sunlight Pension - stay 3 years and you can walk away with it! But who's leaving? 99% of staff is hard working Though there is an obvious separation of attorneys and staff, most of the time I really feel like we are one big team. I genuinely feel productive and happy when I get to help my attorneys out. For a large, and what I deem prestigious Chicago firm, I don't feel like anyone here has an entitled, jerky attorney attitude. Great yearly bonus and raise. I am happy to come to work every day and feel like my work load / life balance is great - minus the rush home every day! Paid every other Friday.

Cons

Work from home availability is non existent. I think most accounting positions should be straight salary instead of hourly. Clocking in and out is kind of a pain, because most of the time we are sitting at our desk working anyway. Some people even come in on the weekends to finish things up. The daycare validation at Bright Start isn't really beneficial to those who commute from the suburbs. There is no daycare stipend at all. 6 weeks paid maternity leave is kind of archaic - but something is better than nothing.
