- Siemens is a great brand name - Joe Kaeser is transforming the company from being an industrial equipment maker to more of a technology company, which is quite inspirational
Cons
- Career management is obviously employee's own responsibility however, HR has to play a key role in facilitating careers of people who are already formally been identified as top talent. In Siemens, HR is absolutely ZERO at this - The way expats are handled is horrible. At the time of repatriation, the company is extremely disorganized (thanks to HR) to absorb the top talent employees back into the business, facilitating with next steps, even things like visas are not managed properly. - Especially the power generation unit, not called GP, has gone through multiple re-orgs but continues to keep the old dinosaurs (old german managers) in key positions and has not let new younger talent to lead change.
