Pros

The organization is great as a company, benefits, and paid

Cons

Unless you’re into doing the politics charade you will never be offered an opportunity to grow even if you check off all the boxes in a job description. You become black listed immediately when you are honest and challenge the status quo. Had an online internal interview and the interviewing manager had some excuse for not joining on camera. Only focused on the negatives of the role and took up the entire meeting time giving me zero time to explain how I would qualify based on job description. Also - why would I even need to explain why I qualify? If my current manager is the one that needs to ok the transfer why bother to interview. So if your current manager doesn’t like you, personal or even if you truly are bad at your job, forget it. You will never move on to a role that your interests are in. Totally defeating the internal motto that is a lie btw - “we care about your career growth”. This is my 5th internal attempt and I am clear that I do my job too well to be allowed to move on. I have no PIP, and barely take time off because I am passionate about my work. I’m bored now and wanted something new and can’t because my manager won’t let it happen. So now I have decided I need to leave a great company to get the change in responsibilities that I am looking for.

Pros

Great company and coworkers. People are very nice and friendly and the CEC is a nice place to work and the role has flexible hours.

Cons

There is a lot of work to be done so there's a lot of stress that comes with the role. There are times where you will have to work over 40 hours a week. Seems like work-life balance is not prioritized.
