Pros
Most of the people in my department have been here for many years. I can almost always go to them for anything work related.
Cons
Once this new plant manager took over, everything has gone downhill. The machines the filling department uses have constant issues causing downtime. Management complains about downtime constantly, yet refuse to do what is required to avoid downtime. They never take responsibility for their own failures. The mechanics, technicians, and engineers work very hard to keep everything running, but they need good parts to do it. Hiring "efficiency experts" to tell us "We need to investigate why a part broke before we can order a new one" is pure waste. Making any patient wait for tests that can save their life is non-negotiable. Management took away a conveyor belt needed by the packing people, which resulted in slower output. Again, management has no one to blame but themselves. Staff is constantly and explicitly told not to multitask, yet they'll be assigned to multiple stations at once. Mistakes and accidents have happened precisely because of multitasking. Staff gets told to maintain their training on the computer terminals, and then get reprimanded for being on a computer terminal during downtime.
