Pros
I enjoy the work-life flexibility and student-first mentality. I was always able to get time off if I needed it, and even if I was late to work because of traffic, that was understood and worked around, though there weren't many student custodians working at Sierra College so I would guess anybody would've been better than nobody at that time. I love how I got to play into my strengths at the position I worked at; I thrive on clear expectations and working independently, so I had a routine that I would usually go through unless someone told me to do otherwise, which was always communicated. I am lucky to have had this as my first job.
Cons
Not many bonuses, only minimum wage. Probably the kind of place to work if you don't care much about money for any reason.
