Pros
I love what I do and I am passionate about merchandising. I think the culture here is great and I love that it is a women-lead organization. I feel empowered as a female in the workplace. The people are amazing and the MTP program is great. I have a fairly flexible schedule and decent PTO as well.
Cons
- Raises are basically out of the question and my salary is beneath the avg market value for my position. Very much underpaid and underfunded. - My department does not get access to the resources we need to effectively do our jobs and management does not provide access to funds for jewelry trays and organizational tools like labels, label makers, batteries, etc. - I am expected to travel up to an hour one way to meet with vendors at their offices and have been told by my VP not to submit an expense report for mileage because "it's not in the budget" for my department even though it is company policy to be reimbursed. - I have been working here for a year and still do not have a permanent desk or monitor set up. Management does not prioritize giving each employee their own working space/cubicle and I am crammed into a small office with 3 people and one of my coworkers on my team literally works in a closet. - Our IT team does not provide docking station or monitors at the office to those who are new to the company. - Onboarding and training for the AB role is basically nonexistent and I was not provided with resources like fiscal calendars and HR policies when I was hired.
