Pros
Some of the employees are nice, friendly and willing to help the new person. Working on a tug is far better than working in any of the offices. High turnover means a more competitive wage if you can endure the oppressive work environment.
Cons
Management is singularly focused on servicing debt. Everyone that works in the company are just a means to this end, and are treated in that regard. CEO centralizes all decision making. Even senior managers are treated as untrustworthy. Management wants to know your personal details and will treat you differently if they find out something they don't agree with. Managers are given long titles with no real responsibility and blamed when CEOs choices blow up. CEOs wife is not an employee, but wields authority on everything including hiring choices, décor and your personal appearance. CEO is the grammar police and will embarrass anyone with a company wide reply all. This makes communicating via email difficult out of fear that you may get attacked.
