Pros

•Meaningful work that has an impact on the real world •Middle and upper management are kind, knowledgeable, and focused on tackling problems rather than chewing out people • Has a great social environment and team spirit • Offers free training, and has programs for higher education • Satisfactory benefits; they will likely give an attractive offer letter if you get hired • Passable work-life balance. No worse than the average company, a little better in some cases.

Cons

• Leading projects and pushing them forward is difficult due to bureaucracy. • Chemists feel discouraged from pursuing their own projects for fear of wasting time • Company is slow to promote and give adequate pay raises that keep up with cost of living • Some upper management has paleolithic view that remote work isn't real work, and requires in-office attendance even if there is nothing that specifically requires the chemist to do lab work.

Pros

New, relatively clean facility. Nice location. Facility is small and simple. Easy to learn the equipment.

Cons

Poor communication. No direction from day to day. You will be judged very quickly by colleagues and management will always side with them even when they are in the wrong. Maintenance boss has NO technical knowledge and that becomes evident and problematic very quickly because he can not recognize your strengths and will challenge your judgement, make you do things his way even though he doesnt know what hes doing. Your contributions will not be recognized or rewarded instead management will get hung up on little things that are of no real consequence. They are cheap and dont like to spend money on spare parts or tools. There are almost zero spare parts so whwn equipment breaks you could be waiting for days for the parts to arrive and in the meantime you get blamed for equipment failure when you had nothing to do with the failure, This is where the boss having no skillset comes into play in a negative way, lack of recognition of systematic troubleshooting steps. The money is below average but the facility is small and quite simplistic. The facility is run mostly by foreigners who display prejudice toward US born citizens. Sounds crazy but it is true.

We are very sorry to hear about your bad experience. We work hard to create a great environment for all of our employees and to ensure that company policies are clear and effective, globally. We always encourage employees to speak to their line manager or local HR if they have any concerns or are unhappy with any aspect of their work.
