Pros
Good energy and a lot of passion for the brand. For a time, the company was growing rapidly so it was fun to see the excitement and challenges that came with the growth. Fair pay and good perks too, such as great discounts and dogs being allowed in the office.
Cons
Overall a pretty bad culture in a lot of ways. Plenty of nepotism which led to some really questionable hires. On the other hand, firings would be doled out with little transparency so one could never feel particularly safe in their role. A direct report of mine was fired with no prior write-ups despite me fighting against it, and it left me jaded to the company from then on. A lack of proper planning also left the shipping department scrambling at the ends of each month, and it could get very stressful and disruptive to my personal life. I literally never celebrated Halloween or New Years while working here.
