If you keep your head down and aren't management, it's a safe job

Cons

CEO and CFO don't care about the company and just want money. Average employee keeps getting screwed on bonuses and raises. Management is bad and needs to fired, culture is toxic from the top down.

Excellent place to learn how software survives without active development. Engineers gain rapid experience in being resource-optimized. Meetings are plentiful; outcomes optional. Ideal if you enjoy watching institutional knowledge evaporate in real time.

Cons

This was never a strong engineering company - just one that burned through people while coasting on aging products. Engineers are treated as disposable, real contributors are pushed out, and institutional knowledge is routinely discarded. What’s left is process, confusion, and churn instead of technical direction. Customers looking for stability, innovation, or long-term support should be cautious and look elsewhere.
