Pros

Location is amazing, the people you work with can be some of the most fun and realest people you'll probably ever work for professionally. You'll learn a lot of skills and software that may normally be out of your realm from either pay grade or job title. I wouldn't be in my current role now if it wasn't for the experience I gained from working for Pearl / Silver. 5 stars to grow yourself professionally, just use the skills you learn to get out in 3 years and double your salary. 1 star to grow within the company. There's a development plan that's never enforced to be followed through. Strongly against remote work to "build culture" but the place is beautiful so it could be worse so I'll leave as a pro :)

Cons

There are people who have been here for 10 years plus. They're not going anywhere. With that there's a bunch of temps or new hires. There's no in-between. That's a red flag. They temp out work or pin an exhausting amount of work on you and if you haven't been in it for 10 years plus, you'll drown. There's a clause in the hiring contract for "other duties as assigned" it's used as a method to skirt the legal boundaries if you try to contest your job scope. Let me just say that I love this place but management is a problem. You're working for multimillionaires and one of the riches people in the world. That is not a joke. You will be nickel and dimed while your superiors are in close proximity talking about their 10K vacation. Massive burn out culture. Massive turn over in all pillars. Be warned! An entire pillar (company) got liquidated at the end of 2023. There is a rot in this place that is manifesting as a house of cards. The People and Culture team (HR) is massively expanding while the accounting team can't get a director to stay for more than a year. Other departments don't expand as the goal is to make money, how do you maximize your green bars to the board? Contractors who never actually get hired. Work life balance nonexistent for some departments.

Pros

Location and office decor is specatular.

Cons

The current leadership leaves much to be desired. In the past, the company was led by individuals who truly valued employees as key assets. Unfortunately, the current CEO—who came from one of the portfolio companies known for promoting a culture of dignity and respect—has not lived up to that ideal. Despite appearances, his leadership style feels self-serving, supported by a close circle of executives that seem more focused on personal agendas than organizational well-being.
