Pros

The residents make the job worth the daily struggles and challenges. Most leadership show a true drive and commitment to Silverado's philosophy LOVE<FEAR.

Cons

No appreciation by administrator. Census driven with no regards to day to day management. Numbers are primary focus with lack of regard to human lives. No clue of what's going on on the floor with hourly associates. Every department is essential to success. Administrators Expectations unreachable. Belief that people should not be appreciated or thanked for "doing their jobs" great because it is their job they should be doing it any away.

Pros

Very meaningful and rewarding work helping families through one of the hardest transitions in life. The role truly allows you to make a difference and positively impact residents and families every day. Supportive team environment with leadership that understands the emotional side of the work. During a difficult personal time when my grandfather was dying, the company was incredibly supportive and allowed me the time I needed to be at his bedside with my family. It is truly a blessing to be part of Silverado. The work we do changes lives by giving families the opportunity to be family again while knowing their loved one is being cared for with compassion, dignity, and support.

Cons

The work can be emotionally heavy at times because you build close relationships with residents and families who are going through difficult situations. However, the support from the team and leadership helps make those challenges manageable.
