Pros
-The desired culture is awesome...giving love and life to residents -Beautiful facilities -The upper level executive team listens and cares -Some helpful and understanding mid-management/regional leaders -Opportunity to develop relationships w/ residents and co-workers -Pay is at least average, above average in certain fields
Cons
- Entitled, lazy, whiny, unreliable associates. It is not one certain group...they are heavily in local entry level positions, some local management positions, and possibly some regional and home office positions. I mainly experienced it firsthand locally in various communities. -Everyone whines and complains about their various "grievances", imagined unfairnesses, and perceived too heavy of workloads. The fact is, if the majority of associates would just simply show up on time and perform their job, most issues would resolve themselves and this would be an awesome workplace. - The community was constantly short staffed and a mess...not primarily because of residents, but because of associates. Associates would throw trash on the floor, ignore resident alarms, not properly change residents, break-room was always a pig sty, habitually arrive late, always getting "sick", watch tv instead of assisting/engaging residents, roll their eyes if they were confronted. -Manager burn out - managers were expected to cover for all hourly associate absences, meaning that the manager was mainly working the hourly jobs, besides trying to perform their managerial duties
