Pros

Silverado communities are very good for residents. Great place to work until 2011 when company sold...finest people anywhere. Rightfully won awards. Company's philosophy is Love is Greater than Fear

Cons

With one or two exceptions, all the great people are gone from the corporate office. The executives are having a very serious problem finding and keeping anyone in leadership positions because some new managers are very controlling and old managers are afraid. Sadly, "Love is Greater than Fear" is now bogus. HR is unsympathetic - even to the point of betrayal - to good, long-term, trusting employees.

Pros

Very meaningful and rewarding work helping families through one of the hardest transitions in life. The role truly allows you to make a difference and positively impact residents and families every day. Supportive team environment with leadership that understands the emotional side of the work. During a difficult personal time when my grandfather was dying, the company was incredibly supportive and allowed me the time I needed to be at his bedside with my family. It is truly a blessing to be part of Silverado. The work we do changes lives by giving families the opportunity to be family again while knowing their loved one is being cared for with compassion, dignity, and support.

Cons

The work can be emotionally heavy at times because you build close relationships with residents and families who are going through difficult situations. However, the support from the team and leadership helps make those challenges manageable.
